Come to Morenci, Michigan on Saturday, December 3rd to kick start your holiday season!
The Lighted Holiday Parade, hosted by Morenci Town & Country Festival, starts at 6:00 p.m. beginning at the Morenci Schools bus loop on Page St. The parade travels south on Page St., turns east on E. Locust, south on Washington St., west on Main St, ending at Wakefield Park. Parade forms accepted at parade line up.
Following the parade, join the Morenci Band around the Community Christmas Tree at Wakefield Park, sponsored by Holiday LEDs, as Mayor Seger lights it for the 2nd Annual Ceremony. Enjoy a performance by Morenci MS/HS Marching Band and stay warm by the big bonfire built by the Morenci DPW. Fire protections services are being provided by the Morenci Fire Department. Doughnuts and warm cider provided by General Broach will be served by the Morenci Middle School Student Council.
After the parade or tree lighting ceremony, warm up with hot cocoa, and enjoy cookies, gifts, and photos with Santa at the Morenci Fire Hall, hosted by Morenci Area Chamber of Commerce. Each family will be entered in a free raffle, giving away three Butterball turkeys, three spiral glazed hams, ten $50 Meijer gift certificates, a Healthy Spot gift package, one hour massage from The Spot: Baumgartner Chiropractic, oil change from City Service, one hour facial with April Mossing, mani/pedi with Nails by April, Bulldog hoodie from Jammers, and gift certificates from Lemongrass Spa, Village Inn Restaurant, Absalom's Emporium, Mike's Pharmacy, Flats Pub, and more!
