New Employees at the City of Morenci

Nate Adams begins working part-time for the Morenci Police Department this month. He comes with 33 years of experience, spending nearly 11 years with the Ypsilanti City Police Department and most recently with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, where he retired as a Sergeant in April 2022 after serving over 22 years. Officer Adams also works for The Lockout Company, which manufactures and installs school lockdown systems.

The Department of Public Works is back to being fully staffed with the addition of Garrett Woodbury. Garrett is from Lyons, Ohio and brings water department experience from his time working for the Village of Delta. He also worked with Nalco Water, servicing North Star Bluescope Steel.

The Morenci Fire Department welcomed three new members in September. Firefighters Robert Brehm and Matt Black, and Cadet Eli Kolode. Robert Brehm joined the Fighting 84 with 20 years of experience as a firefighter. Matt Black is new to fire service, and eager to learn. Eli Kolode is a new cadet, ready for the experience with plans to join the squad once he completes his training. With the new hires, the Morenci Fire Department roster is up to 33 members.
