Morenci Homecoming is Saturday, October 8th

Morenci’s Homecoming festivities will begin with a parade through town starting from Wakefield Park at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th. The parade route will travel east on W. Main St., north on N. East St., east on Coomer St., and will end at the Morenci High School parking lot. The community is invited to watch the parade, which will include the Morenci High School marching band, fall sports teams, floats built by each class, and the fall Homecoming court. 

Homecoming class representatives include Freshmen Katelyn Ruse and Gabriel Stiver, Sophomores Chelsea Pierce and Wyatt Berger, and Juniors Elizabeth Ferris and Shamus Alcock. The Senior class queen candidates are Rachel Shoemaker, Bryana Martinez, Emilee Cox, and Clarissa Berger. The Senior king candidates are Jayden Ables, Landon Mansfield, Owen Blaker, and Brodie Pike. 

Following the parade, the Morenci Athletic Boosters are hosting a chili cook-off outside of the high school cafeteria. 

The Morenci Bulldogs will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Henry Geisler Field. For all of the homecoming week activities, click here.
