Notice to Taxpayers
Pursuant to Section 17-34 of the Morenci Code of Ordinances:
Notice is hereby given that the special assessment roll for the City of Morenci 2022 summer taxes, will be open for inspection by the taxpayers at City of Morenci Offices, 118 Orchard Street, Morenci and on www.CityofMorenci.org starting on:
April 18, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.
Until
May 16, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
The City of Morenci Offices are open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Notice will be provided in writing to properties affected by the special assessment roll. Within the inspection period, any person may file in writing with the City Superintendent / City Clerk a complaint of any special assessment stating specifically the grounds of the complaint. Appearance and protest is required in order to appeal the amount of it to the state tax tribunal.
Notice is hereby given that the Morenci City Council will hold a public hearing to hear complaints regarding the special assessment roll of the City for the 2022 summer taxes on:
Monday, May 16, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. at 118 Orchard Street, Morenci, MI
