The City of Morenci is proud to announce that ISO has awarded the City of Morenci Fire Department a Class 3 rating. This places the City of Morenci in the top 10 percent of all communities as graded by ISO, and this improvement could translate into lower insurance rates for residents and businesses in the City.
This is a huge accomplishment for the City of Morenci, as the City’s classification rating was previously rated as a Class 4 and just five (5) years ago was rated as a Class 6.
An ISO rating is based on how well the fire department responds to fire alarms (10 percent of the grade), the equipment, training, and capacity of the fire department to fight a fire (50 percent of the grade), and the efficiency of the community’s water supply (40 percent of the grade).
