The Morenci Fall Fest, hosted by the Downtown Development Authority, is back for its fifth year on Saturday, October 3, from 4 to 11 p.m. The annual event will once again bring an afternoon and evening of music, food, shopping, activities, and fall fun to downtown Morenci. Admission is free.
Fall Fest will stretch across Main Street from Summit to Baker and along North Street from Main to West Locust. From 4 to 7 p.m., the downtown area will be filled with family-friendly activities, local vendors, community organizations, festive food options, and seasonal shopping. Planned activities include hayrides, face painting, archery, a caricature artist, a petting farm, and a photo booth-- all at no cost.
Music will also be part of the afternoon festivities, with DJ Van Damage entertaining the crowd from 4 to 7 p.m. The celebration will continue into the evening when Chase VanBrandt and the Dive Bar All-Stars take the Main Stage from 8 to 11 p.m. for a free outdoor concert, bringing a high-energy mix of country and rock favorites to close out the night.
There will be plenty to eat throughout the event, with a variety of food trucks, local favorites, and a BBQ chicken dinner at the Morenci Fire Department. The Morenci Social District will also be open during Fall Fest, with Morenci Eagles and North Street Pub operating beer tents. Guests 21 and older may purchase alcoholic beverages in approved Social District cups and enjoy them within the designated district.
Vendor registration is open through September 11, with booth space free for community organizations and $30 for merchants offering homemade, handmade, or homegrown goods.
