The Morenci Downtown Development Authority will close out its 2026 Summer Block Party series with ’90s Night on Friday, August 14, from 6 to 11 p.m. in downtown Morenci. This free community event will feature live music, food trucks, beer tents, yard games, and plenty of 90s fun for all ages.
Food vendors and beer tents will open at 6 p.m. Food options will include Fade to Black BBQ, Funky Dawgs, Sips & Sweets, and Absolutely Nutz. Beer tents will be hosted by the Morenci Eagles and North Street Pub. Adults age 21 and older may enjoy beverages in approved cups within the designated Morenci Social District boundaries.
Pop’s Garage will take the stage at 7 p.m. The five-piece dance band was named Toledo’s Best Cover Band in 2023 and is known for its high-energy performances. Its wide-ranging setlist includes Top 40, dance-pop, rock, rap, country, and plenty of favorite hits from the 1990s.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite ’90s-inspired outfits. Cash prizes of $50 will be awarded for Best Grunge, Best ’90s Icon, and Best Couple. Two 50/50 raffles will also be held, with proceeds supporting future downtown events, programs, and improvements.
After a summer of live entertainment and strong community turnout, the Morenci DDA is excited to close out the series with one final night under the stoplight.
