The 5th Annual Back-to-School Bash is coming to downtown Morenci on Wednesday, August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Join us for free games, school supplies, giveaways, and a meal prepared by the Morenci Area Schools food service team. The event will also feature booths highlighting school clubs and programs, along with activities hosted by local businesses and community organizations.
The Kiwanis Club of Morenci coordinates the school supply giveaway with support from Adrian Meijer and Michigan Gas Utilities. Elementary students will receive grade-level supply bags, while middle and high school students may choose five items from the available supplies.
Seneca Community Church will host free games for children and raffles to support local teachers. Teachers attending the event will have a chance to win gift cards to help stock their classrooms. A free dunk tank will feature familiar faces from Morenci Area Schools, the City of Morenci, and Seneca Community Church.
The Back-to-School Bash is organized by Seneca Community Church, Morenci Area Schools, the City of Morenci, and the Kiwanis Club of Morenci, with additional support from local donors, businesses, organizations, and volunteers. The event is open to the entire community. Even if you do not have school-age children, you are invited to come downtown and help celebrate the beginning of another school year.
