The Morenci Downtown Development Authority invites residents and visitors to travel back in time for 80s Night at the next Summer Block Party Concert on Friday, July 10, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. in downtown Morenci. This free community event will feature live music, food trucks, beer tents, yard games, and plenty of 80s fun for all ages.
Headlining the evening is 56DAZE, a high-energy band known for performing crowd favorites from the 80s, along with classic rock, 90s hits, and singalong party anthems. Their fully live performances have entertained audiences across Michigan and Ohio and are sure to keep the party going all evening.
Guests can enjoy a variety of food options from Fade 2 Black BBQ, Rock Yo Taco, and Hannah's Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Adults age 21 and older may also enjoy beverages purchased from participating downtown businesses within the Morenci Social District.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme by wearing their favorite 80s-inspired outfits, from neon colors and leg warmers to big hair and vintage band tees. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories: best dressed couple, biggest hair, and best neon outfit.
The Summer Block Party Concert Series continues to bring live entertainment, community connection, and family-friendly fun to downtown Morenci throughout the summer. The final concert of the season will take place on August 14 with a 90s Night theme.
