Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 4. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morenci City Hall.

Residents who are not yet registered to vote may do so at City Hall during regular business hours leading up to the election, including on Election Day. In addition, City Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, to assist voters with registration and absentee ballot submissions.

Voters may preview their ballot before Election Day by visiting the Michigan Voter Information Center at: https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/PublicBallot/Index

To help ensure a fair and orderly voting process, residents are reminded that electioneering is prohibited within 100 feet of the entrance to a polling location. Prohibited activities include:

  • Distributing campaign literature or materials

  • Soliciting petition signatures

  • Requesting donations, selling tickets, or conducting similar activities

  • Wearing clothing, buttons, hats, or other items supporting a candidate or ballot issue appearing on the ballot
