The Morenci Downtown Development Authority will kick off summer in downtown Morenci with the first Summer Block Party Concert of the season on Friday, June 12.
Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a summer evening downtown with live music, food trucks, a 50/50 raffle, and the opportunity to enjoy the Morenci Social District.
The Summer Block Party Concert Series will take place on June 12, July 10, and August 14, bringing live music and community activity to downtown throughout the season.
The June 12 kickoff features two live performances. Ryan Groth opens the evening at 6 PM with a high-energy country performance featuring crowd-favorite sing-alongs. Amelia Airharts take the stage at 8 PM, bringing their signature powerhouse vocals and energetic rock performance.
Food trucks open at 6 PM with Funky Dawgs, serving gourmet hot dogs, and Fade 2 Black BBQ, featuring Texas-style barbecue. Attendees age 21+ may enjoy beverages purchased from participating downtown businesses within the Morenci Social District while enjoying the event.
Guests can also take part in the evening’s 50/50 raffle, with proceeds supporting future downtown DDA initiatives, including community events, downtown improvements, and the façade grant program.
