The City of Morenci is in the process of updating its Master Plan, a policy document that will guide community land use, development, and the City’s long-term vision for the future. A Community Open House will be held on Monday, March 30, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Stair District Library to gather input from residents and stakeholders on a wide range of topics that will shape the plan, including land use and future land use, housing, redevelopment opportunities, economic trends, current City initiatives, and the implementation action plan, among other focus areas.
Residents, visitors, employees, employers, students, and business owners are encouraged to attend to learn more about the Master Plan, ask questions, and share feedback, and attendees are welcome to stop in for as little or as long as they would like. Community input is an important part of this process, and participation will help ensure the Master Plan reflects the needs and priorities of Morenci now and into the future.
Planners from Beckett&Raeder Inc., the consulting firm assisting with the Master Plan update, will be available to answer questions, listen to community insights, and explain the planning process. Light refreshments will be served.
