Congratulations to Captain Colin Richardson, named the 2025 Morenci Firefighter of the Year at the Annual Fireman’s Banquet. Colin has served with the Morenci Fire Department since 2014 and is recognized for his professionalism, leadership, and commitment to training and firefighter safety. He has advanced through the department, earning EMT certification, serving in leadership roles, and contributing to operational readiness through gear inventory management and assisting with fire and RIT training. Colin has completed extensive additional training, including rope rescue, ice rescue, vehicle extrication, electric vehicle response, and TECC/RTF, and has maintained perfect attendance at all department trainings throughout his service.
In addition to honoring Firefighter of the Year, the department recognized the following members for their years of dedicated service:
Farra Ryan – 30 years of service
Tyler Schell – 15 years of service
RJ Robinson – 15 years of service
Luke Miller – 5 years of service
Johnathan Fee – 5 years of service
