The City of Morenci is pleased to announce that Officer Nathan Adams was officially sworn in as Chief of Police at the November 10 City Council meeting. Adams has completed his onboarding and will assume full command on January 1. Current Chief Michael Creswell will transition to the part-time deputy chief role at that time.
Adams brings 33 years of law enforcement experience, including service with the Ypsilanti City Police Department and more than 22 years with the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, where he retired as a Sergeant in 2022. He has served with the Morenci Police Department for the past three years and most recently worked as a bailiff in the Lenawee County courts.
The City looks forward to Chief Adams’ leadership and his continued service to the Morenci community.
