Three sheds on one semi truck

Morenci, MI – The Morenci Fire Department has received a grant to support improvements to its Burn Lab training facility. The funds will be used to purchase a multi-zone temperature monitoring system, add a third story to the facility, and install guard rails and staircases, enhancing safety and training capabilities. To date, the Burn Lab project has been funded entirely through donations and community support. The Department extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Dillon and his Foundation for their generosity.

In addition to the grant, the Department recently received a donation of three storage sheds from Lowe’s of Adrian, Michigan. The sheds were transported to Morenci with assistance from Micah Borton and Tamco Trucking and Adrian Mechanical, which provided a Lull telehandler to load the sheds, and Colin Richardson of the Morenci Department of Public Works, who unloaded the sheds and helped with installation.

These contributions help the Morenci Fire Department enhance its training capabilities and continue providing high-quality instruction for its firefighters. The Department is grateful to Mr. Dillon and his Foundation, Lowe’s of Adrian, and all local partners who assisted with this effort. Their generosity and collaboration reflect the strength and commitment of the Morenci community.
