The City of Morenci is proud to offer the opportunity to honor a Veteran or current military service member with a customized 18x36" light pole banner.
Thirty banner locations on Main St. and North St. will be available for the first 30 registrants, with an additional 10 banner locations on Orchard St. and Baker St. for the subsequent 10 registrants. Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day through September and during the month of November for Veteran’s Day. After the display has ended, your banner will be returned as a keepsake.
Banners are $150 each, and a portion of the proceeds will support the Morenci American Legion. Participants from the 2023 program have the option to renew their banners for a fee of $30, provided they remain in good condition.
Applications are available at City Hall and on our website here. Applications, along with payment, in the form of cash or check (payable to American Legion Post 368), are accepted at City Hall. The deadline to submit is Monday, April 1, however only 40 spaces are available, so don't delay.
