The Morenci Fall Fest will take place Saturday, October 7, from 4 to 11 p.m. in downtown Morenci. This free event features live music performances, engaging family activities, and opportunities to shop seasonal vendors. Local restaurants and food trucks will have festive menus for your dinner plans.
Lining Main Street from 4 to 7 p.m. will be fun family-friendly activities including photos booths, face painting, a petting farm, archery, a caricature artist, and a hayride—all free of charge. There will also be a wood carver, local merchants, and non-profit organizations with fun fall activities for kids.
The excitement begins at 4 p.m. with an art reveal at Alley 221. Following the art reveal, the first of three outdoor concerts will begin, featuring Genevieve Rose at Alley 221 as the backdrop to the vendor fair. Main street will re-open soon after 7 p.m., but the family events continue with the Rex Theater showcasing Casper the Friendly Ghost at 7:30 p.m.
During the entire event there will be grab-and-go menu specials at local restaurants; entrees and desserts that are only available for the Fall Fest. The Flats Pub, Morenci Eagles, Pizza Box, Morenci Deli and The Dairy Depot will all be participating. Brenda's Little Taste of Texas and Detroit Mini Donuts food trucks will be in town parked just west of the Morenci Fire Department.
The Morenci Social District has been approved to open for the Fall Fest. That means that you may purchase an alcoholic beverage in a designated to-go cup from Flats Pub and Morenci Eagles 1297 and consume it outdoors within the boundaries.
Here are a few reminders:
- Only adults 21 and older may purchase a Social District beverage.
- Boundaries will be marked with yellow tape and signage.
- Please help keep our downtown clean. Dispose of your cup in readily available trash receptacles.
- Bringing your own alcohol into the Social District is not permitted.
- Leaving the Social District with an alcoholic beverage is not permitted.
- Social District cups are not refillable.
The Social District does not encompass of the entire Fall Fest area, which extends to Morenci Fire Department, Healthy Spot Morenci, Jammers Designs, The Dairy Depot & Cafe, Morenci Deli, and Pizza Box. Please be advised that Social District cups must be thrown away before leaving the permitted area, which will be marked with yellow tape and signage. Extra help from our Morenci Police Department will be on duty to ensure safety and compliance. They will be happy to help if you have a question, or you can always ask your bartender! The concert series continues after the vendor fair at 7 p.m. with a live performance at the Morenci Eagles, featuring the band, Staind Glass City. The final act begins at 9 p.m. at Flats Pub, featuring a local band, The Dive Bar All-Stars.
