The City of Morenci has partnered with Modern Waste Systems, Inc for our garbage and curbside recycling needs.

Garbage is picked up once a week on Friday.  
A city wide large trash pickup day is scheduled in the spring each year.  

    Residential:    

         Option #1 -   Place one garbage bag and one large item at the curb.             
                             A resident can place unlimited clear plastic bags with recycling material.
                             Any additional non-recyclable materials bags will need a purchased tag.
                             Tags are available at city hall and Borchardt's grocery store
 
         Option #2 -  Modern Waste offers 90 gallon carts for a fee.  
                             Carts can be filled with garbage in bags and/or recycling.
                             Unlimited clear bags of recycling can be placed at the curb outside cart as well.
                             Resident can place one large or bulky item each week.

NOTE: Option #1 is paid in all Morenci residents water/sewer bill quarterly.  Option #2 offers a cart for residents that is an extra fee charged by Modern Waste Inc.  If you would like to obtain a cart, contact MWS at 517 536-4900.
